About This Role

We’re looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to lead our custom application development team. If you love managing Agile projects, working with cross-functional teams, and delivering quality software on time, this role is perfect for you.

You’ll own the complete delivery lifecycle – from gathering requirements to successful deployment – while working with business stakeholders and development teams across different time zones.

What You’ll Do Every Day

Requirements & Planning:

• Work with business users to define and document functional and technical requirements
• Turn business needs into clear technical specifications for developers
• Create project plans, timelines, and resource allocations
• Keep everything on track and aligned with business goals

Team Leadership & Agile Management:

• Lead sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives
• Coordinate with development teams daily to track progress
• Remove blockers and provide clear guidance to developers and testers
• Manage tasks and priorities across different time zones
• Make sure milestones and quality standards are met

Testing & Quality Assurance:

• Write or oversee test plans and test cases
• Coordinate system integration testing, UAT, and regression testing
• Ensure deliverables meet performance and security standards
• Maintain high quality throughout the development process

Deployment & Support:

• Plan go-live schedules and deployment checklists
• Manage communication around releases
• Provide post-deployment support and fix issues quickly
• Keep stakeholders updated on project status, risks, and progress

Stakeholder Management:

• Be the main point of contact between business users and development teams
• Communicate with senior-level stakeholders regularly
• Present updates in clear, simple language
• Build strong relationships across teams

What We Need From You

Must Have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
• 5+ years managing software or application development projects
• Strong experience with Agile or hybrid project methods
• Great at project planning and risk management
• Can communicate well with senior stakeholders
• Track record of delivering projects on time with excellent quality
• Experience working with teams in different locations and time zones
• Know your way around Microsoft platforms, ServiceNow, or AWS
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice to Have:

• Commercial software product development experience
• PMP, CSM, or similar project management certification
• Experience with ServiceNow development lifecycle
• Know Microsoft DevOps, Jira, or similar tools
• Background in Federal or regulated IT environments
• Understanding of UX/UI principles and accessibility standards
