What You’ll Be Doing

Here’s what a typical day might look like:

• You’ll build and maintain RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints that power our applications
• Design microservices that can handle serious traffic without breaking a sweat
• Work with MongoDB to create smart database structures that actually make sense
• Write tests using Jest because we believe in code that works (not just code that “should work”)
• Set up and manage stuff on AWS – think EC2, Lambda, S3, and more
• Help junior developers grow by reviewing their code and sharing what you know
• Team up with designers, product managers, and other developers to ship great features
• Fix bugs and optimize performance when things get slow

The Tech Stack You’ll Use

We need someone who’s really comfortable with:

Core Skills:

• Node.js – You’ve been using it for at least 5 years and know it inside out
• NestJS – You understand why structure matters in backend development
• Express.js – Building APIs feels like second nature to you
• MongoDB – You know how to design schemas and make queries run fast
• GraphQL – You’ve built GraphQL APIs and understand when to use them
• AWS – You’re comfortable deploying and managing cloud infrastructure
• Jest – Writing tests is part of your workflow, not an afterthought
• Microservices – You get the bigger picture of how services talk to each other

Bonus Points If You Know:

• TypeScript (because type safety is awesome)
• Redis for caching
• RabbitMQ or Kafka for message queues
• Docker for containerization
• Setting up CI/CD pipelines
• Tools like Datadog or New Relic for monitoring

Who We’re Looking For

Education: You have a degree in Computer Science, IT, or something related. Or maybe you’re self-taught but have serious experience to show for it.

Experience:

• You’ve been building backend systems professionally for at least 5 years
• Node.js has been your go-to tool for the past 3+ years
• You’ve launched real products that real people use
• You’ve worked with teams before and know how agile development works
