Job Description: AWS Administrator L2/Level 2

Role Overview: The AWS Administrator L2 is responsible for managing and maintaining the AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security. This role involves collaborating with various teams to implement cloud solutions that align with business objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Cloud Infrastructure Management:
    • Implement, manage, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure, including EC2 instances, S3 buckets, and RDS databases1.
    • Configure, test, and maintain application software and system management tools2.
  • Security and Compliance:
    • Design and deploy secure networking configurations within the AWS environment, including VPCs, subnets, and security groups1.
    • Manage identity and access management (IAM) policies and roles to control user and programmatic access to AWS services1.
  • Automation and Optimization:
    • Automate cloud operations and deployment processes using AWS CloudFormation, AWS Elastic Beanstalk, or similar tools1.
    • Optimize cloud costs by analyzing usage patterns and recommending reserved instances or savings plans1.
  • Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
    • Monitor cloud resources and applications using AWS CloudWatch, AWS X-Ray, and third-party tools1.
    • Identify and resolve performance issues, set alarms, and ensure compliance with defined metrics1.
  • Disaster Recovery and Backup:
    • Implement disaster recovery and backup strategies using AWS Backup and AWS Disaster Recovery services1.
  • Collaboration and Support:
    • Act as a liaison between Infrastructure and Delivery Teams3.
    • Represent Infrastructure and enforce Cloud Services standards with global services and/or partners3.
